FAMILY BUSHCRAFT
HALF DAY / FULL DAY / Overnight
Wildeye Adventures creates half day / full day / overnight courses teaching bushcraft & wilderness skills in woodlands for families and youth 6+ years. We work in different locations around London, Buckinghamshire & Kent. Overnight camping takes place in Sevenoaks, Dartford, Croydon & Chalfont St Peter. Archery activities in Croydon & Chalfont St. Peter.
Many young people are growing up in urban environments, it's important to encourage a balance between the modern and natural world. The best way to reconnect with the nature is by spending time in it. Learning bushcraft/survival skills is a chance to get creative, use the imagination & problem solve using what nature provides. Discovering skills of the wild will improve confidence and empower you in the outdoors. Our courses inspire stepping out of the comfort zone & experiencing sleeping in the woods independently. This is no "Glamping" experience or walk in the park. However, Wildeye's highly experienced bushcraft instructors will be there to guide & support you during the entire experience. We share abundant knowledge of the wild, survival skills & environmental education. With a mission to develop your personal relationship towards the natural world. Encouraging nature connection, self-reliance, creativity, team work & personal responsibility.
Our instructors build positive relationships with guests we encounter on courses/camps. Our aim is to share our passion for the outdoors, plant positive seeds in young people's minds & create an improved relationship towards Mother Nature.

OVERNIGHT COURSES/CAMPS
Arrival at 10am on Saturday. Departure on 12pm Sunday. Overnight camps are the best way to immerse yourself in nature and put bushcraft skills to the test. Natural shelter building takes time, energy & manual labour. So don't expect a walk in the park. You are welcome to bring your own tents if you wish. But we do encourage creating form of shelter (either using natural materials from the forest or tarps) as it provides a more rewarding survival experiencing. You may decide how you wish to sleep as the experience unfolds.

Survival will get the imagination going, stimulate intuition, creative skills and problem solving abilities.
You'll need to work together in your tribe to create your camp and forage enough wood/fuel to sustain you until the next morning.

Our overnight experience encourages solitude. After a day gaining skills & guidance from instructors. You will be prepped with the required knowledge, enough to be responsible for you own personal well being overnight. Nature is an amazing teacher and has much to teach us, if we can learn to stop, look, listen, adapt and trust. Reconnect to your roots. Humans are nature.

Discover how to create a natural shelter, use tarps and learn more about useful trees, plants & fungi.
Hammocks (bushcraft ones, not palm tree ones) are also available if you fancy sleeping off the forest floor.

Our instructors share abundant knowledge on the fascinating world of trees & woodlands. Inspiring a stronger connection to the natural world. Many young people have left our camps feeling inspired, with life-long memories and some have even started their own environmental initiatives within their community & school.

All overnight camps are self-catered on day one. You are required to bring a packed lunch & an evening meal to cook over a camp fire. Breakfast the next morning is provided for each guest. Instructors offer guidance & support throughout the day, however, when the sunsets staff will be in the woodlands, but out of site! We encourage solitude in nature, so you'll be camped independently with your own spot in the woods. The sound of a Native American flute will summon you to breakfast, served at 8am. Further activities commence after breakfast. It's time to go wild, let nature provide and spend a night away from the city side.
AWARENESS
Be aware that there are no toilets in the Sevenoaks woodland site. It's back to the primitive in these particular woods; think like a wild cat. You'll be advised during woodland awareness on introduction. Bring personal toilet paper & hand sanitiser with you. There is water & hygiene points on camp.
Toilets are available at Croydon & Chalfont St Peter woodland sites.
All personal trash must be taken off site & litter disposed of. Please inform us of any food allergies or intolerances before arriving on camp. Only then may we cater to personal specific needs.

Please dress appropriately for the outdoors. British weather is un-predictable, be willing to adapt to the elements but remember that you are adopting survival skills that empower you outdoors.

There is drinking water on site if you need to refill water bottles or flasks. Hot water will be available. You will be sent location, directions, camp food ideas, kit list & location details via email after payment & booking. Refer to the this blog post for kit on overnight courses.
